You may know Michael Shafar from his appearances on Australian TV and radio. But, considering traditional media is dead, it's more likely that you know him from the Internet where he has amassed 120,000+ followers and 100+ million views across social media.
In this dark, boundary-pushing show, he fearlessly weighs into the culture wars and taboo topics that most comedians are smart enough to avoid.

between edgy and offensive with beautiful finesse.” ★★★★1/2 The

getting rarer and rarer to come by these days, and if you’re among those

Demi Adejuyigbe, Best Newcomer nominee at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, is brnging his most perfect, insane, and hilarious show to Melbourne this June.

Expect original songs, chaotic PowerPoint presentations, and one (1) backflip performed to impress his crush, resulting in gut busting laughs.
As brilliant as it is eccentric, you’ll experience a “both ramshackle and slick” (Time Out) hour that is endlessly creative and packed with the unexpected.

This one goes out to my overthinkers, stress heads and worrywarts. To anyone who’s been spiralling so hard they’re basically a slinky. We’re drowning in opinions these days and it feels like the only places we have to interact with people who don’t share our views are Ubers, hairdressers, and family Christmas.
Multi-award winning musical comedian Gillian Cosgriff has been worrying for years, but it’s a testament to her work ethic that she’s able to continually find fresh new worries. Expect brilliant songs, joyful pessimism, and a high likelihood of leaving lighter than you came in.
Gillian has won hearts on Thank God You’re Here, Aunty Donna’s Coffee Café and Question Everything.

Alex is really good at talking. She has to be, because people want to do it with her all the time. Strangers, neighbours, her parents…the gall!
You’ve probably heard of pretty privilege, the theory that if you’re attractive, life is easier and people are more likely to go out of their way to do nice things, like holding a door open for you. Alex believes she experiences something different—what she calls, “Pretty Approachable”, where people are more inclined to ask her to hold the door for them, and it would be her pleasure!
What does this mean? This means she has a few interactions to tell you about, most forced upon her because of being a chronic sufferer of approachable-face.
Alex summarises her new hour as "A show about big moments that changed me a little and little moments that changed me a big".

This show is a love letter to unprofitable and unproductive pursuits. Where have all the hobbies gone? In a world of entrepreneurs and influencers every hobby is a side hustle, every moment a chance to monetise.
I can’t be sure if it's my age or the modern age, but I find myself doing things for the love of it less and less. The thing I miss the most is amateur sport. The drama and the glory of it. I once watched a woman named Fred sledge the A grade men’s Softball team so hard they cried.

Pointed observational comedy combined with absurd flights of fancy in a show that is profound and profane, personal and totally absurd. No one else is doing stand-up like Coleman, a rollercoaster of outrageous theatrics, off-the-rails improvising and elegant writing.

Welcome to Abby’s dream.
Abby Howells takes you on a journey into her own mind. In many ways, she has everything she ever wanted. She’s a comedian full time! She lives in the big city (well, Auckland is big for New Zealand)! And in a ‘game changing’ move, she just bought some new outdoor furniture… But alas, there is still much that plagues her.
Life is agony, as they say, hahaha! Abby has many enemies and they will be vanquished. How? By talking about them in a comedy show? Probably not, but that’s what is going to happen.
Abby Howells is best known for coming last on season five of Taskmaster NZ, but she gave it a really good go. She can also be seen on Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee.

Is life feeling hard to romanticise at the moment? Is your main personality trait having your phone on do not disturb 23 hours a day? Have you been plagued with a sinister sense of melancholia since birth? Are you in your 123rd healing era of this year?
Musical comedian and internet freak Sez has the show for you!
Sez has learnt a lot in the first 25 years of her life. Mostly she’s learnt that everything that seems SO deep is not that deep, YES you are the main character in the film but you’re also just an extra in the background and all your worst moments in fact do just keep you young.
Armed with her guitar, omnichord and a few other cheeky instruments Sez explores all her worst moments growing up but now with the lens of WOW this is great for my backstory.

Strap in. Let’s go. Zoë’s feeling fun. Welcome to The Splash Zone.
Pop on your poncho for a full ball, pedal to the metal, embarrassingly silly display of going all in, pulling out the stops, leaping before looking and let’s be honest here, just trying to make you laugh. Which is good for you, because it’s a comedy show. Just dumb, splashy fun in the form of “stand up comedy”, with jokes, stories and goofiness from your favourite chaos imp, Zoë Coombs Marr.
This show is about chats. About people, their mouths, and the stuff that comes out of them (or doesn’t). Conversations, goss, speaking, clamming and shutting up, and getting your numerology done by an Uber driver.
It’s about the rich human tapestry that binds us all together via hopeful attempts at communication like the use of the phrase “rich human tapestry” in this blurb, which is meant to read as funny and not earnest and disgusting. But who knows. Discuss.
All of these words, concepts, and more, may be in this show, but don’t overthink it – let’s just see what happens, shall we?

Fun title, fun show. Lizzy Hoo is back with a brand new hour of stand up… actually it’s just the same 10-minute set on repeat. Jokes!
Okay, so have you ever felt like you’re just going through the motions? You have trouble savouring the moments when everything is so transient? You’re kind of stuck on repeat?
This show is about the things we do (okay, maybe the things I have done) to get out of that: golf lessons, piano, pickle ball, overcommitting, overnight hikes, scuba diving, bungee jumping, first dates, dinners at fancy restaurants, jobs I’ve never dreamed of and romantic holidays all on my own. Expect oversharing and infectious charm plus a little bit of “nah that’s f*cked mate”.
It’s been a busy 12 months appearing on Shaun Micallef’s Origin Odyssey, Have You Been Paying Attention?, and Question Everything (to name a few). Lizzy is also creator and host of podcast Shituations.

My parents died and left me some land. Not bad.
It’s not like I had the wherewithal to do anything with it then or now, but it didn’t stop me designing a house as dreams are free. Then I met a bloke. A draftsperson. A renegade. A real one, as they say.
I have the receipts.
A new show concerning all the houses that won’t get built. Metaphorically, spiritually, comedically and literally. Mostly.

I’ve heard the expression ‘Stop being so dramatic” my whole life, but only now, at the culturally relevant age of 34, am I ready to address it and face these drama queen allegations head-on.
Please join me, Chris Parker, for an hour of high-intensity, feverishly paced and dizzyingly expressive comedy.
Sure, I’ve cried in every speech I’ve ever had to deliver publicly, and yes, there may have been a situation this year where I slept on my neck weirdly and bought myself an unnecessary neck brace. Still, I’m desperate to prove that I’m really chill and down to earth. So, what better way to get you to understand that than with a one-man variety hour spectacle chill stand-up comedy hour?
Building on this momentum, 2024 saw Chris host the New Zealand Comedy Festival Galas, tour his latest show, Give Me One Good Reason Why I Shouldn't Throw My Phone Off This Bridge, to full houses throughout Australia and New Zealand, make his prime-time Australian TV debut on Thank God You’re Here (where he won the episode), and release the highly anticipated second season of Double Parked.

Discuss.

Fresh off sold out seasons in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, Scout Boxall brings their critically acclaimed and award winning show "God's Favourite" back to Melbourne one last time for Replay Festival.
After getting stranded in regional Victoria without medication for the first time in twelve years, Scout Boxall has to pull out all the psychological stops to survive one of the worst nights of their life. During their harrowing mental marathon through manic withdrawal, Scout imagines life in the middle ages, trawls the strangest crevices of the Internet and (briefly) finds God.
As seen on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, The Oxfam Gala and ABC's Austin, Scout Boxall is one of the most exciting new talents in Australian comedy.

Margaret and David are two of the biggest reviewers in Australia. They get to watch as many movies as they want. Everything is going awesome... until the government tries to ban a little film called Ken Park.
Comedians and film lovers Zachary Ruane and Alexei Toliopoulos recount this little nugget of Australian history in this strange hybrid of comedy show, documentary and verbatim theatre that surely would have gotten a bad review from Margaret and David.
